I think astronauts are the perfect embodiment of childhood hopes and dreams. Everyone wanted to be an astronaut at some point...

And as you get older you learn what you can and can't do and people all to easily help you define that list.

All to often, we choose to let go of what could have been.

Oh man I love everything about this. The colors are beautiful and I love the style you did it in, kinda gives it that naive crayon drawing look. Captures the essence of the inner child, I guess. <3 Brilliant.

Very powerful statement. While I don't ever remember wanting be an astronaut I can understand why I would have. You can go anywhere and see anything, not many other things are like that. Being an astronut means uncertanty, you never know what you'll see. And I think just space in general fascinates a young mind, its vastness is uncomprehendable to even the wisest of adults.
